Established in 1995, the EUROFUNG network stands as a prominent European hub of expertise with globally recognized specialists and long-standing collaborations between industry and academia in the field of white biotechnology. Over time, it has evolved into a foundation dedicated to the exploration and expansion of the potential of filamentous fungi as versatile cell factories.
EUROFUNG consists of academic groups from various countries including Austria, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, Hungary, Israel, Netherlands, Norway, Slovenia, and the UK. In addition, the industrial platform includes small, medium-sized and large European biotechnological and pharmaceutical companies: BASF, Genencore International, Novozymes, Puratos, Syngenta and Roal Oy.
